The Eagles- Cowboys Week 1 opener had to be paused due to lightning and severe climate in the realm around Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field.

NBC play-by-play broadcaster Mike Tirico said the sport will resume around 11:30 p.m. ET.
“A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for our area,” a message on the stadium video board read. “These storms could produce severe situations, including lightning and strong winds.
