Karoline Leavitt has revealed President Donald Trump’s plan to carry home Americans who have been left stranded in the Middle East following Operation Epic Fury.
“The Trump administration is doing everything within our power to protect Americans in harm’s way,” said the White House Press Secretary, including that over 17,000 Americans have returned to the U.S. since the navy marketing campaign started.
U.S. residents wanting to return home are urged to register with the State Department to obtain the latest updates from the closest U.S. Embassy. “The State Department will identify where you are and provide travel options directly to you,” said Leavitt.
Citizens are also requested to comply with the State Department on Social media for journey updates, and lastly, call to request emergency help, if vital. “The Trump administration will not rest until every American is home safely and until the terrorist threat from Iran has been completely destroyed.
Leavitt’s statement comes as the identities of the first U.S. casualties in the conflict have been released. Six service members were killed when an “unmanned plane system” evaded air defenses to hit a command center in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, on Sunday.
It was initially reported that three soldiers died in the attack, but officials confirmed on Monday that the death toll had doubled. Four of the deceased were identified on Tuesday as Capt. Cody Khork, 35, Sgt. Noah Tietjens, 42, Sgt. Nicole Amor, 39, and Sgt. Declan Coady, 20.
In a briefing on Monday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said a “highly effective weapon” had struck a “tactical operations middle that was fortified.”
