Trump brutally mocks Jimmy Kimmel after axing and | Political News

President Donald Trump is applauding ABC’s determination to droop  late-night host Jimmy Kimmel after feedback he made concerning the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk last week.

Despite being on a journey to the U.Ok., Trump discovered time at 1 a.m. local time to take to social media to rejoice the late-night hosts’ obvious demise, saying fellow late-night hosts Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon would be the next to go.

“Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social early Thursday morning.

Trump predicted back in July that Kimmel would be “the next to go” following CBS’s decision to end The Late Show with Stephen Colbert next year.

“The word is, and it’s a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone,” Trump wrote on Truth Social at the time. “These are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. It’s really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!”

Kimmel’s suspension comes after Nexstar announced its ABC associates would pre-empt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” indefinitely over his feedback about Kirk’s death.

“Mr. Kimmel’s comments about the death of Mr. Kirk are offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse, and we do not believe they reflect the spectrum of opinions, views, or values of the local communities in which we are located,” said Andrew Alford, President of Nexstar’s broadcasting division.

In his monologue on Tuesday, Kimmel said that “we hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Kimmel, like CBS late-night host Stephen Colbert, has constantly been important of Trump and many of his insurance policies on his ABC show. CBS said this past summer time that it was cancelling Colbert’s show at the end of this season for financial causes, although some critics have puzzled if his stance on Trump performed a position.

DONT MISS:

The cancellation of Colbert’s show got here just days after he publicly criticized CBS’s guardian company, Paramount Global, for settling a defamation lawsuit with Trump.

The company agreed to pay Trump $16 million in connection with a dispute over an edited 60 Minutes phase. On air, Colbert referred to the settlement as “a big, fat bribe.”

In response to the show’s cancellation, Colbert addressed Trump immediately during a monologue, saying: “Go f— yourself,” and “I am the martyr.”
