President Donald Trump’s particular envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, revealed during an interview with the president’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, that Trump cannot understand why Iran hasn’t yet “capitulated” under the naval stress he is positioned on the Middle Eastern nation.

“I do know that we now have pink traces right here from the U.S. How about over with Iran?” Lara Trump requested during the interview, which aired on Saturday night time.

Witkoff said he had mentioned just that matter with the president earlier that day, stating, “The president asked me that this morning, and he’s — I don’t want to use the word ‘frustrated.'”

“It’s almost because he understands he’s got plenty of alternatives,” Witkoff explained. “But it’s curious. He’s curious as to why they haven’t — I don’t want to use the word ‘capitulated,’ but why they haven’t capitulated — why, under this sort of pressure, with the amount of sea power, naval power, that we have over there, why they haven’t come to us and said, ‘We profess that we don’t want a weapon, so here’s what we’re prepared to do.'”

He added that it has been tough to “get them to that place,” referring to the Iranian delegation with which he and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, have been negotiating a new nuclear deal that would stop Iran from having the means to produce a nuclear weapon.

Witkoff’s revelation about the president’s overseas coverage comes just a day after Trump warned that restricted strikes against Iran are potential, even as negotiations with the nation continue in good religion.

Tehran’s top diplomat said Iran expects to have a proposed deal prepared in the next few days following nuclear talks with the U.S.

But in response to a reporter’s query on whether or not the U.S. may take restricted army motion, even as both nations continue to negotiate, Trump said, “I guess I can say I am considering that.”

Hours later, he told reporters that Iran had “better negotiate a fair deal.”

Earlier on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a TV interview that Iran was planning to finalize a draft deal in “the next two to three days” to ship to Washington.

Speaking on MSNOW’s Morning Joe show, Arachchi said, “I don’t think it takes long. Perhaps in a matter of a week or so, we can start real, serious negotiations on the text and come to a conclusion.”

Tensions between US and Iran threaten to explode

Tensions between longtime adversaries Iran and the U.S. have been ramping up and are threatening to explode as the Trump administration pushes for concessions from Iran.

It’s also constructed up the biggest U.S. army presence in the Middle East in many years, with more warships and plane on the best way.

On Friday, the USS Gerald R. Ford provider strike group handed through the Strait of Gibraltar and entered the Mediterranean Sea after being dispatched by Trump from the Caribbean — where it had been monitoring Venezuela, performing as a deterrent for the alleged drug-smuggling operations that Trump claimed originated from inside the South American nation.

Images of the ship taken by maritime photographers posted to social media and independently verified verify the presence of the provider strike group in the Mediterranean.

Both Iran and the U.S. have signaled that they’re ready for struggle if talks on Tehran’s nuclear program fizzle out, with Araghchi stating on Friday, “We are prepared for diplomacy, and we are prepared for negotiation as much as we are prepared for war.”
