President Donald Trump said that he has been told that the first part of his 20-point peace plan to end Israel’s battle in Gaza “should be completed this week”, including that he’s asking everybody to “MOVE FAST.”
Taking to his Truth Social account, Trump wrote: “There have been very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the World (Arab, Muslim, and everyone else) this weekend, to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza but, more importantly, finally have long sought PEACE in the Middle East. These talks have been very successful, and proceeding rapidly. The technical teams will again meet Monday, in Egypt, to work through and clarify the final details. I am told that the first phase should be completed this week, and I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST. I will continue to monitor this Centuries old “conflict.” TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR, MASSIVE BLOODSHED WILL FOLLOW — SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE!”
On Monday President Donald Trump announced the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict”- a 20-point proposal that called for the release of all Israeli hostages to be freed.
Hamas agreed to some elements of the peace plan, including releasing hostages and handing over Gaza governance to Palestinian technocrats, but is in search of negotiations on other points.
“In this context, the movement affirms its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through the mediators to discuss the details of this agreement,” Hamas said in a assertion. The response didn’t contact upon the key calls for of its disarmament and enjoying no position in Gaza’s governance.
When requested about flexibility, Trump told reporters “we don’t need flexibility because everybody has pretty much agreed to it, but there will always be some changes”.
