The Pentagon declined to remark. Anthropic representatives didn’t immediately return a request for remark.

The president said there “will be a six-month phase-out period” for the Pentagon and other agencies that are using Anthropic’s fashions. The company signed a $200 million contract with the Pentagon just last July.

Trump said he would use the “Full Power of the Presidency to make them comply, with major civil and criminal consequences to follow” if Anthropic was uncooperative during the transition period.
