Trump Reacts to Shooting at ICE Facility, Doubles

President Donald Trump reacted to Wednesday’s taking pictures at an ICE facility in Texas and along with others in the GOP, called on Democrats to stop attacking Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) brokers and demonizing law enforcement.

In a post shared by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Trump wrote that he had been briefed on the taking pictures in Dallas at the ICE Field Office, and how it has been revealed that the “deranged shooter wrote ‘Anti-ICE’ messaging on the shell casings.”

“This is despicable!” Trump wrote. “The Brave Men and Women of ICE are just trying to do their jobs, and remove the ‘WORST of the WORST’ Criminals out of our Country, but they are facing an unprecedented increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists.”

“This violence is the result of the Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement, calling for ICE to be demolished, and comparing ICE Officers to ‘Nazis,'” he added. “The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, must be stopped. ICE Officers, and other Brave Members of Law Enforcement, are under grave threat.”

“We have already declared ANTIFA a Terrorist Organization, and I will be signing an Executive Order this week to dismantle these Domestic violent extremism Networks,” the president continued. “I AM CALLING ON ALL DEMOCRATS TO STOP THIS RHETORIC AGAINST ICE AND AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT, RIGHT NOW! The Trump Administration is fully committed to backing Law Enforcement, Strong Borders, securing our Homeland, deporting Violent unlawful Criminals, and fully rooting out the Left Wing Domestic violent extremism that is terrorizing our Country. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

As my RedState colleague Nick Arama reported following the taking pictures, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said, “This needs to stop. Politically motivated violence is wrong.”

“It was two weeks in the past today that we noticed a political assassination [of Charlie Kirk]  in Utah that tore the guts out of a lot of this nation,” Cruz said, 

“This is the third taking pictures in Texas directed at ICE or CBP. This must stop. To every politician demonizing ICE and demonizing CBP, stop,” he added. To every politician demanding that ICE agents be doxxed and calling for people to go after their families, stop. This has very real consequences…Your political opponents are not Nazis.” 

“And we ought to come together and have some decency across the political aisle to say this violence is wrong and it needs to stop,” Cruz continued.

Arama also wrote earlier about Newsom’s look on “Colbert”:

As I reported, California Gov. Gavin Newsom went on a wild anti-ICE rant on Tuesday night time’s Stephen Colbert’s show, claiming they have been disappearing people off the road without due course of. He also demonized President Donald Trump, calling him a “son of a b***h” and saying he did not assume he was going to permit another election. 

But he is not the only one – there have been many politicians and many more in the leftist media. ICE is implementing the law. It’s Democrats who are appearing opposite to the rule of law and opposite to the best pursuits of the American people, just because they need to assault Trump. 

And as my colleague Mike Miller wrote, during an event in North Carolina on Wednesday, Vice President J.D. Vance “went off on the insanity, while speaking about the ICE-related shooting — in no uncertain terms.” He said:

If your political rhetoric encourages violence against our law enforcement, you may go straight to hell, and you’ve no place in the political dialog of the United States of America!

Yes, all of this. Otherwise, issues are going to get so a lot worse right here.
