President Donald Trump shared new photographs of the “deplorable” White House entrance in a Truth Social post.
“The Radical Left Dumocrats criticize me for spending so much time bringing our White House back to the Glory of 100 years ago — Actually, it will be far better than that, and they will not shame us for bringing our Great and Brilliant Monuments to the past and the future back to levels never seen before.” Trump added that this is why his administration has been working on tasks all throughout Washington, D.C.
“The White House, as you can see in the before pictures attached, was an embarrassment. Believe it or not, these pictures were of the Main Entrance. In a short period of time, it will be a Symbol of Extraordinary Beauty and Pride!” his message continued.
The president’s rant comes after photographs of the White House draped with a tarp in preparation for renovation work.
However, the tarp acquired consideration for a pre-printed design that includes a shockingly correct rendering of the White House.
According to an official, the tarp is supposed to defend the portico while it undergoes “standard restoration work.” However, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum told former DOGE spokesperson Katie Miller that the project will wrap “very quickly” during an look on her podcast.
“President Trump comes out to greet a world leader, sees door dings in the pillars, and he says, ‘Look at all this stuff that needs to be repaired,’” he said.
“We’re restoring the plaster, and not just at the door level — all the way up to the crowns of those towers,” he continued, including that the project can be thought-about “historic renovation work.”
