UFC Releases Teddy Roosevelt AI Ad Ahead of White

The Sunday Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Freedom 250 event at the White House has already been fairly epic, and the festivities are just getting began.

When Roosevelt was governor of New York, he gave an 1899 speech titled “The Strenuous Life.” In the speech, Roosevelt opined:

I want to preach, not the doctrine of ignoble ease, but the doctrine of the strenuous life, the life of toil and effort, of labor and strife; to preach that highest kind of success which comes, not to the person who wishes mere straightforward peace, but to the person who doesn’t shrink from hazard, from hardship, or from bitter toil, and who out of these wins the luxurious final triumph. We admire the person who embodies victorious effort; the person who never wrongs his neighbor, who is immediate to help a good friend, but who has those virile qualities mandatory to win in the strict strife of precise life. 

It is difficult to fail, but it’s worse never to have tried to succeed. In this life we get nothing save by effort. Freedom from effort in the current merely means that there was saved up effort in the past.

It is because of the strenuous life and the sacrifice of tough and prepared males that we are able to benefit from the brazen, daring, and fearless representations of American prowess, energy, and grit on the White House garden.
