Drone strikes have been reported deep inside Russia as the Ukraine battle continues to rage.
On Dec. 1, drones attacked the Russian republic of Dagestan in a single day. Local residents reported listening to loud blasts and injury to residential buildings and vehicles, according to the Telegram News Channel Astra, close to the Dagdizel machine-building plant.
No official affirmation has been made concerning whether or not the plant was immediately focused. Dagestan’s head, Sergey Melikov, confirmed the incident without disclosing additional particulars. Melikov acknowledged that the drone assault was “successfully repelled,” and local authorities are responding to the scenario. The Dagdizel plant, based in 1932, is one of the most important military-industrial enterprises in Dagestan.
The telegram channel reported that explosions have been heard in Kaspiysk, a metropolis in Dagestan, early in the morning.
According to the republic’s Health Ministry, a 12-year-old woman sustained mild accidents and was hospitalized.
Astra reported, based on unverified footage from the scene, that the assault broken residential buildings and autos parked close to a high-rise on Molodiozhnaya Street, about 2 miles from the plant.
U.S. peace talks ongoing
This comes as a U.S.-backed 28-point peace plan that provides Russia major concessions, is being pushed ahead. Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, said the talks with Ukraine over a deal to end the battle have been productive, but there’s “more work to be done.”
The talks, held in Florida, have been attended by a Ukrainian delegation led by Rustem Umerov, the secretary of Ukraine’s National Security Council and the nation’s new chief negotiator.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said about the talks, “It is important that the talks have a constructive dynamic and that all issues are discussed openly and with a clear focus on ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty and national interests.”
The initial peace plan drafted by aides to President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin calls for “Kyiv to cede swaths of land currently under its control.”
The focus has shifted to the Kremlin after the U.S.-Ukraine talks in Florida over the weekend.
Steve Witkoff, U.S. Special Envoy, is travelling to Russia on Monday and will meet with Putin to focus on an amended model of the 28-point plan. Ukraine has efficiently managed to amend the U.S. peace plan to take away some of Russia’s maximalist calls for, The Guardian reported, according to people acquainted with the negotiations.
