Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., has revealed that she is battling breast cancer.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Vanessa, 48, announced that she had undergone a “procedure earlier this week” which revealed the cancer. “I want to share a personal health update. l’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.”
“While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she added in the post. “I would really like to thank my medical doctors for performing a process earlier this week on me.”
“I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” Vanessa wrote. “Thank you for your kindness and support it truly means more than I can express.”
The post ended with Vanessa asking for “privacy as I focus on health and recovery.” The Express U.S. reached out to the White House and Donald Trump Jr. for remark.
Ivanka Trump, one of the president’s daughters, responded to the post saying, “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you, mama.” Trump Jr. and Vanessa, who divorced in 2018, have 5 kids: Kai, 19; Donald, 17; Tristan, 14; Spencer, 13; and Chloe, 11.
The two have been seen together on quite a few events, both on holidays and with their children. Vanessa’s ex-husband is anticipated to tie the knot with socialite Bettina Anderson this weekend.
Vanessa has averted the public eye since her current boyfriend, golf celebrity Tiger Woods, had a car accident in March and was arrested. He entered a plea of not guilty plea to prices of misdemeanor DUI with property injury and refusal to submit to a lawful check.
The collision occurred at roughly 2 p.m. ET while Woods was driving northbound on a two-lane street close to his home in Florida. A pickup truck pulling a strain cleaner trailer was trying to decelerate and flip into a driveway when the crash passed off.
Vanessa was later seen without Woods when she and Kai attended the Cadillac Championship alongside the president. The pair have been later noticed together at Kai’s commencement.
