We’ve seen a lot of wild, anti-ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) rants over the past a number of months from the left. 

You have to give credit to ICE brokers for doing their jobs while having to put up with all of that proper in their face, as properly as having to deal with the demonizing from the Democrats and the media. 

But of us on the left often lengthen that same perspective to local police officers as properly. 

Victoria Taft at our sister web site, PJ Media, caught an exchange between a girl confronting a Thurston County (Washington) Sheriff’s Office deputy about what he was doing parked outdoors of an elementary college in Thurston County. Her perspective is one thing else, as she claims that he is “scaring families.”

“You should probably go do your job where your job lives,” she asserted. 

He again explained to her that he was filling out an accident report and doing his job. 

That’s when she actually went over the edge. 

Can you possibly, like for a second, acknowledge that you possibly can be a actually upsetting sight to a lot of people proper now? 

Ma’am I’m just doing my job — [she interrupts]

I get it. I do, I get it. But for us to have the ability to collaborate with y’all at all going ahead? You’re gonna have to show us some humanity. You’re gonna have to show us that you perceive the circumstances?

Alrighty, now. I assume she’s upset about ICE with the remarks about what people are going through “now,” “fascism,” and whether or not the deputy is “part of our community.” 

That’s wild; most people would welcome police by the college to defend it and keep children secure. This is another instance of how a lot cops have to put up with and how affected person they’ve to be. Deputy Domeno is a model new deputy with only a few months on solo patrol, but his composure was that of a 30 12 months veteran. 

I would like to make a few issues clear:

1. Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and our workers are half of, and belong to, this neighborhood.

2. We encourage our patrol deputies to routinely preserve a presence at all of our colleges, and there may be no simpler means to do that than to sit in the college car parking zone instead of the workplace to kind a report.

3. The suggestions we obtain from household, college students, and college college is overwhelmingly constructive throughout the county, and for those who do have considerations, we’re always glad to meet and work through them.

 The Sheriff also famous this girl was not a college worker, nor did anybody at the college endorse her statements. 

How great is that? We’ve seen some unhealthy reactions from woke officers, so it is good to see somebody who will get it, backs up his man, and lays down a little reality in the matter.
