Wealth Taxes and Confiscation? Is United Airlines

Everyone who has traveled by business airline in the post-911 world is aware of that it may be a daunting expertise, and an costly one. That means that one can’t levy any such tax unless it’s uniform throughout the states, regardless of population. In other phrases, direct taxes, which is what a wealth tax can be, are required to be apportioned among the states based on their respective populations — that the quantity of tax collected from each state must be proportional to its population as decided by the Census. This is why, in order to legalize the federal income tax, the sixteenth Amendment was required.

The Congress shall have energy to lay and gather taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the a number of States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

Without regard to any census or enumeration. That language was what was required, and it might be required for any national wealth tax, as properly. Mr. Kirby- you merely cannot do this without amending the Constitution.

The notion of a 100% inheritance tax could also be even more heinous. Most of us who are in our senior years have spent a lifetime building wealth. We have property, we’ve financial savings, we’ve property. And now, we study that Mr. Kirby is in favor of authorities just seizing all that when we die? The authorities has no business seizing those property — and what incentive, then, would anybody have to conduct all the economy-building actions that construct wealth? This can be an financial system destroyer, as is most socialist/communist nitwittery.

Mr. Kirby could also be a good airline government. He might even be a great airline government. But when it comes to economics, taxation and the Constitution, it is fairly clear he is still struggling to study the distinction between fundament and face.
