Big Tigger is formally heading back to Atlanta airwaves.

After spending the last few months away from the microphone, the Emmy nominated radio and tv persona is returning to V 103’s “The Big Tigger Morning Show” alongside co host Francesca Amiker on Monday, Sept. 14. The in style morning show airs weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m.
The return marks a new chapter for Tigger, whose real identify is Darian Morgan, following a difficult summer season that included his arrest and subsequent determination to step away from the show.
Morgan was arrested by Sandy Springs Police in June and charged with aggravated battery and third degree cruelty to kids in connection with allegations involving his estranged spouse. Tigger publicly denied the allegations and later announced in July that he would briefly step away from the morning show to focus on his household and enable his legal staff space to deal with the matter, according to CBS News.
Earlier this month, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute the case. According to a Sept. 4 court doc obtained by The Atlanta Journal Constitution, prosecutors reviewed the info and evidence before deciding not to transfer ahead with prosecution.
Now Tigger is prepared to get back to work.
He took to Instagram to thank the people who supported him throughout the tough period.
“I want to thank everyone who stood with me and kept faith over the last couple of months,” Morgan said in a assertion. “It’s been one of the most difficult times for my family and I, but happily, I can finally exhale and close this chapter.”
While Tigger could have been absent from the V 103 studio, he definitely was not sitting still.
The veteran media persona spent half of his time away trading the microphone for a bicycle as he documented his biking journey on Instagram. Tigger participated in the American Cancer Society’s 300 mile problem on behalf of his Big Tigger Foundation, persevering with his dedication to selling health, fitness and group involvement.
The Big Tigger Foundation focuses on uplifting younger people through schooling while encouraging healthy existence through mental and bodily fitness.
That mission also comes to life through Big Tigger’s Beltline Bike Fest, an annual group event that brings Atlantans together for a bike journey through town. The event contains free health screenings, music, performances, giveaways and superstar visitors, while 300 deserving kids obtain free bicycles from Huffy Bicycles.
Outside of his group work, Tigger has also seemingly been soaking up one of his latest and most important roles: fatherhood.
The new dad has shared glimpses of life with his child boy on social media and has made it clear that raising his son in a constructive and loving setting stays a precedence as he strikes ahead.
“As I continue to work through everything that has happened over the past few months, my full attention from this point forward will be focused on raising my son in a positive, loving environment, and my work on and off air.”
After months away, Atlanta listeners will once again hear a acquainted voice vivid and early Monday morning.
