Whoopi Goldberg has discovered herself stranded in Italy following a volcanic eruption in Sicily.
On Monday, Joy Behar of The View announced she could be co-hosting the show alongside Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and visitor co-host Michelle Buteau. Behar, 83, quipped that producer Brian Teta “begged me to come in. Begged me, on his knees, where he belongs,” as the favored daytime speak show was down a number of hosts, not just Whoopi.
This comes after Whoopi Goldberg said it is ‘simple’ to see the rationale for Nicki Minaj’s MAGA alliance during a latest episode of The View.
During the July 6 broadcast, Behar famous that The View was down to just three hosts for the day because Whoopi, 70, “is using the old volcano excuse.”
“I am in Sicily right now. Mount Etna,” said Whoopi, “who is one of our active volcanoes here in Italy, decided to go off today.”

Whoopi was not the only host absent from The View that Monday morning. Ana Navarro was stranded in Miami due to weather-related delays that prevented her from boarding a return flight, reviews The Mirror. Sara Haines also confronted her own weather-related difficulties.
“Ana is stuck in Miami because of the weather. It’s always hot there. What’s the problem? Sara is dealing with storm damage. How many people are dealing with storm damage? Anybody in this group? No, just Sara,” Joy joked. Poor climate circumstances during the 4th of July weekend led quite a few airways to cancel and delay flights nationwide.

According to FlightConscious, 1,156 flights had been canceled within, into, or out of the United States on Sunday, July 3. Flight delays reached a staggering 9,686.
Italy’s Mt. Etna has been erupting for more than a week, inflicting disruptions throughout the area. The volcano is located in japanese Sicily, main to flight cancellations at Catania Airport until Monday at 2 PM local time.

Italy’s Civil Protection Department beforehand acknowledged that ash clouds in the world might also impression Sigonella and Reggio Calabria airports. The eruption could “cause significant disruption to the transport sector.”
As of Monday afternoon, the Volcano Observatory Notice for Aviation (VONA) has designated the volcanic eruption’s “aviation color code” as “RED – Ash Emission.” VONA categorized the Volcano Activity Summary as “strong strombolian activity is observed at summit craters; strong ash emission ongoing.”
Whoopi just isn’t anticipated to return to The View for the Tuesday, July 7 episode.
