Wrestler who pulled Raja Jackson off 'Syko | MMA News

Doug “The Epic” Malo, the skilled wrestler that pulled Raja Jackson off of ‘Syko Stu,’ whose real identify is Stuart Smith, has been speaking to LAPD detectives and believes it is just a matter of time before Jackson is arrested for the brutal assault.

“There’s not a doubt in my mind (that Jackson will be arrested). Everything’s on tape, on video. It’s premeditated. LAPD tends to drag their feet,” Malo said on the Scaling Up Podcast

“The detective asked me a bunch of questions. I even asked about my implications just because you’re involved and whatnot. He goes, ‘There’s nothing to worry about. You’re just trying to get compliance. Everything was toward Raja,” Malo continued.

“The detective I talked to outside of the case – I just asked him about formalities, what I should look at, what not to look at – He was saying this is just how the LAPD works. They drag their feet. They’re building their case right now. They get all the evidence. The state is going to pick it up because there’s so many people, so many witnesses.”

Malo explained that the detectives are gathering info. They’re wanting at feedback made backstage and ringside prior to the assault.

“They have the evidence enough to try the case. What they’re trying to figure out is what level or premeditation is my understanding is why he’s trying to figure other what conversations took place, what conversations mean. He was asking me what specific terms mean exactly, and what they mean to the person they’re telling them to.”

Jackson, the son of former UFC gentle heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, assaulted Smith during a KnokX Pro Wrestling event two weeks in the past. Video of the cruel assault rapidly went viral.

Jackson entered the ring, elevated Smith and slammed him to the canvas rendering him unconscious. He then delivered a sequence of punches before other wrestlers intervened. Smith was left on his back, bleeding and lacking enamel. He suffered critical accidents and spent a week in the hospital

Malo expects Smith will sue Jackson. He confirmed that legal professionals have been employed.

“I know from a decent source that lawyers are involved,” Malo said. “We know that lawyers are involved, so let the process play out and then we’ll know. But I can say there’s a high probability of that (a lawsuit).”

“I feel like, for right now, the best thing for me to do is shut myself in a room and be quiet because this is a lot,” he said. “I didn’t ask for any of this sh*t. All I did was break up a f**king fight, or an attempted murder.”
