Yellowstone star teams with A-lister for ‘must-see | TV Shows
Actress and Yellowstone alum Piper Perabo is joining forces with Lost and The Good Doctor’s Daniel Dae Kim for a thrilling new series that’s poised to be a summer binge-watch favorite.
Perabo, recognized by fans of the Paramount Network Western as Summer Higgins, an activist and romantic partner of ranch owner John Dutton (portrayed by Kevin Costner), has been a contentious addition to the show in its fourth and fifth seasons, often butting heads with John’s fiery daughter, Beth (Kelly Reilly).
Her newest venture pairs her with Korean-American actor Kim in a heart-pounding thriller that promises to keep audiences riveted to their screens.
Kim takes on the role of unstable former US intelligence operative David Jung, residing in South Korea until a dark incident from his past triggers unforeseen repercussions.
The six-part series is described as a “character-driven spy thriller that delves into intricate family dynamics within the perilous realm of global espionage.”
Additional cast members include Kim Ji-hoon, Park Hae-soo, Kim Tae-hee, Charles Parnell, Sean Dulake, and Nayoon Kim.
Meanwhile, South Korean luminaries Sung Dong-il and Lee Il-hwa will be making special guest appearances.
Adapted from a beloved graphic novel series by Arash Amel for BOOM!
Studios, this must-see thriller springs from the creative vision of showrunner Ken Woodruff, renowned for The Mentalist and Gotham, with crime novelist Steph Cha serving as co-writer.
Star and executive producer Kim described the series as “the realisation of a longtime dream to bring together American and Korean storytellers and create a show that bridges two cultures that I love deeply.
“I couldn’t be happier with the creative team we’ve assembled, both in front of and behind the camera, and I’m grateful to Ken Woodruff, BOOM! Studios, 3AD, Amazon, and everyone else who helped bring it to life.”
Be sure to add Butterfly to your Prime Video watchlist as it’s dropping on screens in just over a month.
