Zooey Deschanel reveals reason why a New Girl…

There may never be a new “New Girl.”

Zooey Deschanel, the star of the favored Fox TV show, solid critical doubt on a attainable reboot in an interview with the California Post this week, citing “complicated legal stuff” that might get in the way in which.

“I just don’t think that’s gonna happen, but, you know, anything could happen,” Deschanel said forward of her indie pop band She & Him’s sold-out exhibits in California. “But I don’t think that’s gonna happen.”

“I think it’s something everyone’s kind of having fun, kind of joking about, but there’s a lot of complicated legal stuff to putting a reunion together,” she added.

Deschanel, 46, starred as quirky center faculty instructor Jessica Day for 146 episodes, and the show earned 5 Emmy nominations during its time on the air from 2011 until 2018.

She explained she would work with fellow “New Girl” stars Max Greenfield, Hannah Simone, Lamorne Morris, Jake Johnson, and Damon Wayans Jr. again “in a heartbeat,” but famous it will require loads of transferring elements coming together to deliver it to actuality.

“[The show] connected with people in a way where it felt comforting and something that people wanted to watch again and again,” the actor/singer continued. “I’m proud of it, and I definitely see with fans that they are still connecting with it, so that’s so nice. I know we’re all very appreciative of that.”

While the solid doesn’t get together as often as they’d like, Deschanel said they are going to next month at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball to obtain the Rising Phoenix Award in Hollywood.

“I love seeing everybody,” the mother of two said. “I spent so much time with them doing the show, so it was really fun. It’s always fun to see everyone. I see everybody here and there separately, but it’s rare that we’re all together at once, so it’s going to be fun to see everyone.”

While taking pictures more “New Girl” episodes isn’t on Deschanel’s schedule, she’s still fairly booked.

Between being on the street this summer time with band member M. Ward and the release of her latest comedic drama, “Trash Mountain,” at the Toronto International Film Festival, Deschanel has been busy.

“I always love my LA shows,” the Los Angeles native said of her Oct. 2 and 3 gigs at The Troubadour. “And then getting to do San Francisco. We’ve already done a bunch of great shows on the East Coast and up the Pacific Northwest. So yeah, it’s gonna be good ending it in California.”

“This tour, we’re going back to all the original stuff, like our “Volume” information that are all songs I largely wrote besides for a few covers,” Deschanel said of the “Pump Up the Volumes” tour. “It’s just kind of returning to our original She & Him stuff.”
