Ringo, whose actual title is Richard Starkey, took over because the group’s drummer in 1962, coming in for Pete Best. In an interview with MOJO magazine, Paul reminisced about Ringo’s good match within the band, remarking, “Impossible to say why – he just was.”

Speaking about nation album Look Up, Ringo stated: “How this record came about was because Olivia [George’s wife] was reading poems for George at the Sunset Marquis hotel and I was there and T Bone [Burnett] was there and a lot of other people were there. ‘How are you doing?
