Trump warns Iranians to evacuate, says Iran | Political News

U.S. President Donald Trump has urged “everyone” in Iran to evacuate the capital Tehran, as Israel and Iran traded strikes for a fourth consecutive day.

“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday.

“Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”

Talks between the US and Iran on a deal on its nuclear program had been due to happen over the weekend but had been suspended indefinitely after Israel launched lethal airstrikes on Tehran early Friday.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attacking Iran to intentionally derail the talks with Washington.

Earlier on Monday, Israel’s navy issued an evacuation warning for more than 300,000 people in central Tehran.

The warning got here before Israel struck an Iranian state-run tv station during a stay broadcast, forcing a reporter to flee the studio. An explosion occurred, slicing the screen behind the reporter as she ran off digital camera.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday mentioned Israeli strikes have set Iran’s nuclear program back a “very, very long time.” He recommended that Israel’s strikes might topple the Iranian authorities.

Israel attacked Iran in a sequence of strikes that killed high Iranian navy officers and hit nuclear and missile websites, sparking the most recent battle. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed the assault was obligatory to stave off an imminent risk that Iran would construct nuclear bombs.

Iran retaliated with a wave of missile assaults concentrating on Israel hours later, raising issues of an all-out warfare.

Iran maintains that its nuclear program is peaceable, and the U.S. and others have assessed that Tehran has not pursued a nuclear weapon since 2003.

The Israeli strikes have killed at least 224 people in Iran since Friday. Meanwhile, 24 people have been killed in Israel.
