Donald Trump applauds reporter for great | TV Shows

President Donald Trump was in a state of shock by a reporter’s “great” query at a press convention at the Kennedy Center on Wednesday, August 13.

The GOP chief visited the Kennedy Center to unveil the next recipients of its honors — and announce that he would personally host the awards show in December.

While answering reporter’s questions during the event, Trump was requested by one journalist about the venue’s latest show of Les Misérables, which performed from June to July.

“I’m going to take it back to the Kennedy Center if I can just for a second Mr. President. From what I understand the Les Mis [sic] show exceeded everyone’s expectations. Attendance, revenue across the board,” the reporter said, which prompted Trump to say, “Great.”

The journalist continued to ask, “Do you anticipate future shows to basically do the same?”

Also at the press convention, Trump shared that he would honor actor Sylvester Stallone during the upcoming Kennedy Center Honors event.

As he announced that he could be honoring “great friend” Stallone, Trump could not help but throw some shade as he called Stallone “one of the biggest names on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

He had to add, “The only one that is a larger identify on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a man named Donald Trump. I’m on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, too, if you’ll be able to imagine that one.”

Trump was given a star on the Walk of Fame in January 2007 for his work as a tv character on The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice.

Other nominees embody rock band KISS, Broadway performer Michael Crawford, and LGBTQ+ singing icon Gloria Gaynor.

This is not the first time that Trump honored the Rocky actor, as he beforehand chosen him and two other actors as Hollywood “ambassadors” earlier this yr.

Stallone, Mel Gibson, and Jon Voight have been picked to be Trump’s “eyes and ears” in Hollywood just days before Trump’s inauguration earlier this yr.

On Truth Social, the president posted, “It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California.”

“They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK-BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”

“These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!” the post completed.
