Scotty McCreery is heading to a music pageant in Switzerland next month, but he’ll be taking some time away from his career when he returns home.
That’s because the nation music icon is anticipating his second youngster with his spouse, Gabi Dugal. Scotty and Gabi, who tied the knot in 2018, at present share one son together, two-year-old Merrick Avery.
“I’m getting home as soon as possible from that festival because my wife’s due for our second child after that,” he explained to The Express US. “So I’ll be getting home and taking some time off to help with the the next little child.”
Speaking about turning into a dad again, Scotty said, “I’m pumped,” before admitting, “I’m a little nervous just trying to remember what we did the first time.”
He joked, “And you know, it’s going to be double trouble running around the house now, but it’s all great things. We’re excited.”
It’ll be the first time Scotty has performed in Switzerland and he shared, “I hope people over there are ready for us because we’re going to bring it all. You know, me and the band, we’ve been ready, excited for it.”
He’s decided to “put on the best show that we can.” Scotty also has some plans for his downtime, saying, “We’re going to try and get some hikes in and do the touristy stuff too.”
