Wednesday’s Special Report started on a heartbreaking notice as Bret Baier delivered surprising breaking news to viewers.

Opening this system, the 55-year-old anchor spoke instantly to the viewers, saying, “But first breaking tonight, tragedy in Minneapolis, police say a shooter fired through a window at a Catholic church this morning, two children were killed, 14 others were injured, along with three adults in their 80s.

“They said the shooter died of a self-inflicted wound. It occurred during the first week of the new faculty yr. The FBI is investigating it as an act of home terrorism. Correspondent Jonathan Hunt is monitoring developments tonight,” he continued.

Fox’s chief correspondent Jonathan was broadcasting live from Minneapolis at the scene of the horrific incident. He informed Bret and home viewers, “It’s every mother or father’s worst nightmare. This morning, households despatched their kids off to only the third day of faculty, and moments later, acquired news that there was a taking pictures tonight.

“Pope Leo is among those sending condolences to the Catholic community in Minneapolis over what he called a terrible tragedy,” he continued.

The community also aired footage of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey addressing the tragedy, “There are no words that can capture the horror and the evil of this unspeakable Act, a tragic and deadly start to the new school year after a shooter opened fire during a Catholic school mass in Minneapolis.”

A video of the devastating section was posted on Bret’s Instagram web page, where he wrote the caption, “A story none of us ever want to cover in this business– a school shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis has taken the lives of 2 children and injured at least 17 other people. Jonathan Hunt has the heartbreaking story tonight on @SpecialReport.”

Followers shortly crammed Bret’s feedback with weeping and sobbing emojis as they responded to the tragic news.

One distraught person echoed the TV character’s sentiment, writing, “Truly a story nobody wants to hear.. spot on. Terrible. Sickening,” while another commented, “My prayers are with the scholars and households.

“I’m misplaced for phrases,” another person confessed, as a fourth, visibly furious user, added, “And the Coward killed himself. Straight to Hell and I hope he suffers eternally. These poor kids.”

A fifth viewer stated, “We need to stop publicizing the shooters and giving them fame. Just call them a shooter.”

Authorities have named the perpetrator of the Annunciation Church taking pictures in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as 23-year-old Robin Westman, whose mom beforehand labored at the varsity.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara revealed that Westman had no prior prison document before the assault, which wounded 17 people, including 14 kids. Two kids, aged 8 and 10, also perished in the tragedy.
