Businessmans message to women who racially abused | Political News
A British entrepreneur has responded to two women who have been captured on Gossip Wire News footage racially attacking him in public.
Zahin Gelu, 32, condemned the women for hurling insults and wrongfully accusing him of “raping our kids” while he was discussing neighborhood tensions in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, with Gossip Wire News amid the latest controversy over migrant lodging.
Although Gelu expressed forgiveness in the direction of the women and selected not to press fees, the police are still investigating the incident, which has gained traction on social media. The news comes after a Spanish city banned Islamic festivals in public areas sparking uproar over ‘hatred’.
Gelu said: “I’ve been here for the last 26 years, I went to primary and secondary school in Nuneaton and went to university in Manchester. I’ve built a business here, I employ people and pay taxes.”
Having moved from Malawi to the UK at age six, the businessman has spent his life in the nation, building his profession and contributing to the financial system. He suspects that the women focused him based on racial assumptions, believing he was an asylum seeker due to his pores and skin colour.
This event displays a comparable prevalence in Basildon, Essex, where a man confronted arrest for a suspected racially motivated offense, stories the Mirror.
“Because of the colour of my skin and the fact that I’m a British Asian, these women assumed I was an asylum seeker. I’d just about said my name on camera when they came over shouting insults,” Gelu elaborated.
“There’s no justification for it but she was clearly projecting her problems on to me. She had small children with her and that was what upset me most because what sort of example does that set?”.
He shared these ideas with the Daily Mail following the Gossip Wire News interview and the extraordinary criticism the women have acquired since. During the disturbing confrontation, one girl declared: “That’s the issue we’re having with youse in our country, you’re raping our kids” while the other used the slur: “dirty monkeys”.
Mr Gelu, who holds a college degree, has urged Brits “to be more dignified in the way we treat each other”. He referenced last week’s demonstrations across the UK, where protesters assembled outdoors resorts accommodating migrants.
Tensions practically boiled over in a number of places, leaving determined asylum seekers, including those staying at a Holiday Inn Express in Oxford, “fearing for their lives”.
Approximately 247 asylum seekers are presently housed in non permanent lodging throughout Nuneaton. The two brazen women apparently believed Mr Gelu was half of this group, a quantity that has surged dramatically in latest years.
Authorities are analyzing the incident. Two women, ages 30 and 43, have been taken into custody on suspicion of a public order offense.
The elder girl also faces fees of racially aggravated common assault.
