Mets hiring Troy Snitker as hitting coach as they…

The Mets have added an important piece to their revamped teaching employees.

The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed the workforce has employed Troy Snitker as its hitting coach for the 2025 season after firing Eric Chavez and Jeremy Barnes, both of whom shared the function last season.

Snitker will work under Jeff Albert, who was promoted to run the major league workforce’s hitting program after beforehand overseeing it in the minors.

Mets supervisor Carlos Mendoza saved his job after lacking the playoffs, however most of his employees was let go shortly after the season.

Snitker, 36, was fired this offseason after seven seasons as the Astros hitting coach.
