Jon Bon Jovi issues update after major vocal surgery – | Music News

Jon Bon Jovi has said he’s “excited, humble and grateful” to return to full health, 4 years after present process vocal surgery.

The musician, 63, paid tribute to his band, Bon Jovi, as effectively as his crew for exhibiting endurance and help over the past 4 years, during which they could not tour due to his health.

But just days in the past, the band confirmed they are going to be returning to the stage next summer season, beginning from July 2026.

The tour will start in New York before heading to Europe, where the band has scheduled dates in Edinburgh, Dublin and London.

As he prepares for the tour, the Grammy winner told Gossip Wire News, “The band and even the crew, they showed me a whole other level of brotherhood and commitment and love for three plus years when, you know, there’s no money coming in.

“And their households are ready on that. And they never misplaced religion, which helped me to keep combating.”

The Livin’ On A Prayer hitmaker said evolving as a songwriter and musician is his top priority for his career at the moment, as he explained, “I’m a grown man. I’m not chasing pop stardom.

“I’ve been doing this for 43 years and the opportunity to write for me is also kind of a way for me to think through a situation.

“It’s soothing sometimes, , to work through it. And with an album like 2020, which I turned, , a narrator while we have been all locked down in Covid and no one may play in an enviornment like [Wembley], you put on your fedora and you change into the reporter, and you are writing that story.”

He added that the fact that his son Jake and daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown welcomed a baby girl via adoption earlier this year, is “a lovely factor,” adding he is looking forward to the holidays which will be “a lot brighter” this year.

After concluding the iconic band’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2022 tour, the musician underwent reconstructive vocal cord surgery followed by a year-long voice rehabilitation process.

Following the announcement of the 2026 tour, Jon released a statement to fans, expressing, “There is a lot of pleasure in this announcement – pleasure that we will share these nights together with our superb followers and pleasure that the band will be together.

“I am lucky enough to be able to hold a light out to the audience each night and stand in their reflection for a tremendous collective experience – I get to stand in the WE of our concerts.”

He added, “And I’ve spoken extensively on my gratitude, but I will say it again: I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and allowed me the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring. I’m ready and excited!”

Jon has remained clear throughout his recovery journey, revealing to followers that the band carried out month-to-month rehearsals to monitor his progress. He emphasised that until he felt assured he may ship a full two-and-a-half-hour efficiency, the group would stay off the touring circuit.

In 2024, he shared with Entertainment Tonight, “Day to day, I’m working hard on it. Nothing else matters until I work on getting better. It’s up to God at this point. I’ve done everything I can do. I won’t fake it…the legacy matters too much.”
