Donald Trump issued a warning to air visitors controllers who complained about not being paid amid the historic authorities shutdown, which can be drawing to a close after more than 40 days.

Many airports nationwide have been struggling with staffing issues as air visitors controllers missed out on two paychecks during the shutdown. Some controllers have taken second jobs to cowl payments, while others have called in sick from work in protest.

“All Air Traffic Controllers must get back to work, NOW!!! Anyone who doesn’t will be substantially ‘docked,'” the president wrote in a Truth Social post.

Trump said he would advocate a bonus of $10,000“for distinguished service to our Country” for air visitors controllers who did not take time off during the “Democratic Shutdown Hoax.”

“For those that did nothing but complain, and took time off, even though everybody knew they’d be paid, IN FULL, shortly into the future, I’m NOT HAPPY WITH YOU,” the president continued. “You didn’t step up to help the U.S.A. against the FAKE DEMOCRAT ATTACK that was only meant to hurt our Country.”

Trump said that any air visitors controllers who need to depart their jobs in the close to future ought to do so without any hesitation, “with NO payment or severance of any kind!”

This is the erosion of the safety margin the flying public never sees but America relies on every single day,” he said.

“When the most disciplined safety workforce in America is forced to think about survival instead of public safety. This is the cost.”
