After her opening spherical in an LPGA Tour event on Thursday, Kai Trump was candid about how nerves affected her efficiency. And on Friday, she opened up about the “scary” expertise of competing at golf’s elite degree.

Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of the president, is taking part in The Annika this week in Belleair, Florida, on a sponsor exemption. Her opening spherical was catastrophic as she concluded the day in last place with a 13-over 83, but Trump nonetheless extracted a number of positives from the expertise.

On Friday, she displayed higher consistency to start her spherical, and in a Golf Channel interview after finishing the entrance 9, Trump, who has dedicated to the University of Miami, revealed her feelings throughout the event.

“It’s been awesome. It’s a lot of pressure, obviously, but I’ve been having a great time, especially today,” Trump said. “I think the nerves have calmed down a little. Yesterday was a little scary, but today I feel more relaxed and I feel like I’m ready to do this.

“The expertise has been superb, but I really feel better today.”

Trump expressed her surprise at the pros’ consistency, stating, “How constant they’re.

“I hit it just as far, but their irons, even if they miss it they’re still on the green.”

This publicity to professional-level consistency gave Trump a clear aim for enhancing her own recreation.

“Obviously, I think that’s something I have to work more on, especially short game. They all have amazing short game out here.”

Despite probably lacking the cut at Pelican Golf Club, Trump just isn’t completed with her golf journey. She formally dedicated to play faculty golf earlier this week and plans to take part in numerous tournaments to gain more expertise.

“Really what’s next is just more tournaments,” Trump said. “I just signed with University of Miami on Wednesday, so, I mean, more tournaments and eventually go to college.”
