Trump would love to see Marjorie Traitor | Political News

President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he’d like to see Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene revive her political profession at some level, despite their latest falling-out, according to NBC News.

The president’s feedback got here a day after Greene announced her resignation.

“It’s not going to be easy” for Greene to revive her political career, the president said in a brief phone interview with NBC News. But he added, “I’d love to see that.”

Trump said that Greene, in the meantime, “acquired to take a little relaxation.”

Greene, who is a long-time loyal ally of Trump, has voiced her differences with some of Trump’s policies and priorities in recent weeks. She has blamed the president for allocating what she sees as excessive attention to foreign leaders instead of the economic issues of common Americans.

Trump has called Greene a “traitor” and withdrew his support for her reelection.

On Saturday morning, Trump posted on his social media that Greene chose to quit rather than face a Republican primary challenger in the midterm elections next year.

Greene had long pushed for the Epstein files to be made public, even accusing Trump of standing in the way of their release. Trump at first brushed off the campaign as a “hoax,” but shifted his position last Sunday and came out in favor of full disclosure. Following his reversal, Congress moved quickly to mandate that the Justice Department publish the documents, and Trump ultimately approved the measure.
