Fox News commentator blasts Prince Harry as | TV Shows
Fox News commentator Caroline Downey blasted Prince Harry after he appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The Duke of Sussex made a cameo on the speak show on Wednesday, making headlines after telling a joke about Donald Trump. Unfortunately, the Prince fumbled the punchline and was met with boos from the studio viewers.
In a dialog during America’s Newsroom on Thursday morning, Fox News pundits Bill Hemmer, Dana Perino, Tom Shillue, and Caroline Downey mentioned the on-air blunder, and Caroline didn’t mince phrases. The National Review reporter referred to the 41-year-old royal as a “disgraced loser” during the brutal takedown.
Prince Harry, who is married to American actress Meghan Markle and resides in California, appeared on the speak show and carried out a bit with Colbert in which he pretended to be auditioning for a Hallmark Christmas film, ‘Gingerbread Christmas Prince saves Christmas in Nebraska.’
In one second, the Prince said, “You Americans are obsessed with Christmas movies, and you’re clearly obsessed with royalty, so why not?” To which Colbert responded, “I wouldn’t say we’re obsessed with royalty.” Harry then delivered the punchline: “Really? I heard you elected a king?” which was met with a combine of laughter and boos from the live viewers.
The Fox News hosts mentioned the viral social media second that went viral.
Bill requested, “Caroline, were you busting a gut over there?” She shortly responded, “Absolutely not,” before launching into a brutal tirade against the son of King Charles III and Princess Diana.
“What would he know about exercising authority as a king? He splintered the Royal Family so that he and Meghan could go rogue,” she started. “He is now the disgraced loser son; his brother is in line for the throne, not him,” the conservative journalist seethed.
“And yes, we are still a constitutional republic. I know leftists dispute that,” she went on. “We have a very energetic executive, don’t get me wrong, Trump is using a lot of that authority, and I wish Congress would start legislating, but that doesn’t make us a monarchy, Mr. Harry.”

The joke was in reference to the ‘No Kings’ motion, which is vital of Donald Trump‘s abuses of energy as President.
Comedian Tom Shillue also weighed in, noting that the viewers was “booing Trump,” not the joke itself. He clarified, “The joke didn’t fly because Harry is not a good comedian,” not because the viewers did not just like the punchline.
Harry also referred to his well-known spouse during his shock late-night look. When Colbert requested if he knew any “famous TV actresses,” the British royal quipped, “I might know one.”
