Celeb Xmas Day plans unwrapped – from snowy paradise to | UK News
When it comes to celebrating Christmas, celebrities are just like everybody else and need to spend the day with their family members. When Express.co.uk requested a number of nicely-recognized faces what their plans have been for Christmas Day, it was no shock that household featured closely. However, some of them still managed to put a spin on conventional festivities, either spending it in unique climes or merely cramming it in between their panto performances.
As the nation will get set to sit down to their festive feast and watch the King’s speech, Express.co.uk takes a look at how some of the UK’s favorite well-known faces are spending the day.
Tyger Drew-Honey
The Outnumbered star is showing in panto in Beauty and the Beast at Fareham Live until January 4, so he’s booked into an Airbnb with his spouse, Fluke Chitphuang, for the period. But he revealed he’ll still handle to have a household Christmas.
“What I tend to do is from the show you finish on Christmas Eve to the show you do Boxing Day afternoon, you’ve got a day and a half of that Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day period. And that’s because you’ve sort of missed out on a bit of the run-up, because you’ve been so busy, the Christmas sensation in those that day or two is so heightened.
“I’m ripping off my costume of the show on Christmas Eve and getting out of the theatre as fast as I can. And I actually do really feel that sense of Christmasiness that only actually exists in implausible Christmas motion pictures. The nearly over-the-top sense of Christmas Eve-ness that we might all love to really feel, but do not always actually really feel.
“Because my wife and IÂ move down to where I’m performing, we will still have our evenings together. And then my parents, who live abroad, come over and stay with us, right next to the panto, from about the 20th to the 30th of December. So I still feel like I get a good family Christmas – much more condensed and heightened, but still a good one.”

Nick Knowles
Nick has been trying ahead to having a quiet Christmas after a busy few months. On top of his TV work, he has not too long ago been working with Smart Energy GB to spotlight how sensible meters can help people access power reward schemes. But there can be no work speak on Christmas Day.
“It’s just quiet family time,” he said. “That’s the nice thing at this time of year, when sort of TV stops and slows down. Most things have been pre-recorded and ready to go. It means I can actually spend time with family and have a very quiet Christmas at home.”

Scarlett Moffatt
TV presenter Scarlett, who is one of the contestants in the festive particular of Strictly Come Dancing, can be watching the BBC show with her household as it was recorded in advance.
“I’m heading home for Christmas, and my mum and dad and Scott (Dobinson, her partner) are going to be there, and my little sister and I’re all going to watch Strictly. The fact that my little boy – because we watch it every year at Christmas – and the fact that we all get to watch it, and Jude gets to watch his mum, dance…I’ll probably be crying on Christmas Day,” she confessed.
