Trumps plot to topple Cuban regime and install

The White House is reportedly planning a navy operation to topple the Cuban regime and probably install a new “client state” in Havana within the next few days.

“Cuba is so desperate in asking the people that hate them the most, Cuban Americans for investments,” he said. “This is how desperate Cuba is for cash — they owe the world billions.

The primary target in the possible operation is Miguel Diaz-Canel, the current President of Cuba, but experts say removing him is “nugatory” because the Castro family still holds powerful influence in the region.

“I must make clear that I do not imply [Miguel] Diaz–Canel, who doesn’t matter at all, and what occurs doesn’t imply something,” said Gonzalez. “I do not care whether or not he stays or leaves, the people [the Castros] will retain control… they’ve their fingers in all the pieces and every pie.”

Trump is reportedly considering the “Delcy Rodriguez model,” named after the Venezuelan vice president who took over following Nicolas Maduro’s removal from power, a former U.S. diplomat told the outlet. In this situation, a leadership group stays in power in the region, but obeys every U.S. command.

“It seems that Trump could be keen to settle for continuation of the Cuban dictatorship, a lot as in Venezuela, under the same circumstances: the new Cuban management might be required to comply with all U.S. calls for,” said the diplomat. “Under this ‘Delcy model,’ it is probably that the U.S. would demand compensation for US individuals whose properties had been confiscated by the Castro regime.”
