Donald Trump has been compelled to make some big modifications to his MAGA festival.

The president, 79, has announced a fully new lineup for Freedom 250’s Great American State Fair, which is due to happen in Washington, D.C. All but two of the artists initially announced to carry out pulled out of the event, with Trump now saying he shall be headlining the festival.

Artists such as Bret Michaels, Martina McBride and Morris Day & The Time dropped out of the unique lineup as they claimed to have been unaware of the event’s political connections. Others admitted they’d no concept they’d even been added to the unique lineup.

With the beforehand scheduled acts claiming to have been unaware they’d been booked for the festival, PR professional Katherine Machado-O’Hara admitted this is not unheard of.

She told The Express US, “The announcement of performers before formal commitments are secured is hardly unprecedented. A famous example was Live Aid, when promoter Bob Geldof publicly floated the idea of a reunion by The Who at a time when the band members were not even on speaking terms.”

Machado-O’Hara advised, “The visibility, purpose, and momentum surrounding the event ultimately helped make it happen.”

However, she identified, “The difference here is that Freedom 250 is not simply an entertainment event. It is an event closely associated with a presidential administration and therefore, by extension, suggests an alignment with their politics, policy, and ideology.”

For many artists, Machado-O’Hara said this would “change the calculus considerably.”

She added, “To appear at a charitable concert is one thing is very different than being an active participant at an event tied to a sitting administration. Doing so can be perceived by fans, sponsors, and the media as an endorsement or alignment with that administration’s positions, whether intended or not.

“My assumption is that the artists chosen had been perceived to be less probably to decline participation. The miscalculation wasn’t essentially who was chosen, it was assuming that their participation could be considered as leisure slightly than a political assertion.

“In today’s environment, those responsible grossly underestimated the reputational considerations artists and their teams must weigh in a highly polarized climate.”

The professional concluded, “From a communications perspective, the story has shifted from a celebration of America’s milestone anniversary to a conversation about who is unwilling to participate and why. That is not the narrative organizers were seeking, and it is one that carries implications far beyond the event itself.

Machado-O’Hara’s comments come after Trump announced his new lineup on Truth Social.

“On Wednesday, June twenty fourth, at 7 P.M., in magnificent Washington, D.C., now completely beautified, and one of the Safest Cities anyplace in the World, and in celebration of our Country’s 250 Year History, we shall be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER!” he declared about the event.

Trump added, “It shall be particular at every degree – A Rally to end all Rallies! We don’t need singers with no expertise, but big charges to put you to sleep, we have told them all to keep home. All we would like is you, me, a few audio system, and the Greatest Music ever performed, the same Music you’ve got listened to for years!”

Revealing the new lineup, he said, “We could have the fabulous Lee Greenwood introducing me with what has turned out to be one of the Greatest Hits of All Time, GOD BLESS THE U.S.A., and the superb Christopher Macchio, who will sing Nessun Dorma, Hallelujah, Ave Maria, God Bless America, and others.

“Not since the legendary Luciano Pavarotti has there been such a voice! The Rally will also be featuring the wonderful U.S. Army Band ‘Pershing’s Own’ and Armed Forces Choir, and ‘The President’s Own’ Unites States Marine Band, with the Joint Armed Forces Chorus, all of your favorite Hits, PLUS a fine and highly dignified gentleman known as, President DONALD J. TRUMP!”
