BBC audiences have spent the weekend revisiting a ‘spellbinding’ and ‘phenomenal’ drama.
In the wake of the devastating news relating to Anthony Head’s passing, admirers have been honouring his reminiscence by watching one of his best performances.
News of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star’s death emerged a number of days in the past, with his daughters confirming he had died at the age of 72.
“He passed away peacefully of complications due to pneumonia, surrounded by his family,” his daughters Emily and Daisy said.
Their assertion continued: “It has been, and forever will be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters, and to have witnessed firsthand the impact both he and his work have had on so many,” experiences the Mirror.

Admirers have since flocked to social media to reveal they have been revisiting some of his tasks, including Persuasion, Ted Lasso and Vanity Fair.
“It’s a lovely tribute to remember artists for their work,” one admirer posted on Reddit.
Another responded: “My favourite was him in Merlin,” to which another person said: “He was incredible as Uther! So intimidating!”

The cherished actor portrayed Uther Pendragon, King of Camelot in the BBC fantasy collection, alongside Colin Morgan as Merlin, Bradley James as Prince Arthur and Richard Wilson as Gaius.
Merlin aired for 5 seasons between 2008 and 2012, and adopted a reimagining of the legend, in which the younger warlock was despatched to live with Gaius in Camelot after his mom feared for his life because of his reward of magic.
Working in court, he turns into Arthur’s manservant and spends his expertise attempting to shield him from evil forces.

Anthony Head beforehand spoke about how a lot he loved enjoying his function in Merlin.
