President Donald Trump made a direct comment to Kristen Welker following their contentious interview.

On June 11, a report analyzed the aftermath of President Donald Trump‘s, 79, abrupt departure from his Meet the Press interview. Days before, Trump had directed harsh criticism at Welker, 47, before instantly strolling out. The president confronted embarrassment after the NBC anchor challenged his assertions relating to election fraud, his anti-weaponization fund, and the continued tensions with Iran.

Now, Welker has hinted at the likelihood of another interview with Trump in Washington, D. C. This development follows the president having his identify stripped from the Kennedy Center just days forward of his June 14 birthday.

Vanity Fair’s Washington correspondent, Aidan McLaughlin, questioned Welker about what had occurred the day after the interview. He requested her, “You spoke with Trump after the interview. What did he say?” studies the Irish Star.

Welker then told the magazine, “I spoke to him the morning after the interview. And without getting into an exact verbatim of what was said.

“He successfully said, ‘Look, the rain was disruptive. We’re going to do this again in Washington,'” she concluded.

During their NBC interview on June 7, Welker challenged Trump on his campaign pledge to end wars before pivoting to rising gas prices.

The president answered: “If we signal an settlement, it will go down now. Otherwise, they will go down after we’re completed.”

Trump also addressed the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

He alleged rioters “had FBI brokers ushering them into” the building. Welker pushed back, noting there is “no evidence that any FBI particular brokers ushered anybody into the building.”

Trump repeatedly claimed that California‘s current major elections and the 2020 presidential election had been “rigged”.

When Welker pressed for evidence, Trump responded: “Do you suppose it is applicable that they’ve an election and 5 days later, they’re nowhere close to choosing a winner?”.

The president then directed insults at her: “They’re crooked, just such as you’re crooked.

“They’re crooked just like you’re crooked, the press is crooked, and Meet the Press is Crooked.”

The host countered: “To be fair, I’m not crooked.”

Trump replied: “Really? Well, you play right into their hands, and you’re either crooked or you’re stupid,” persevering with his outburst.

As the interview descended into full disorder, the president announced, “I’ve had enough,” then eliminated his microphone and walked out.

“Darling, have a good time,” he told her.

Welker tried to persuade him to keep, saying, “Don’t go,” in an effort to continue the interview.

Trump interrupted her and said, “I’ve sat in the rain with you for an hour, on and off in the rain, and I’ve given you enough time.”
