Actress and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ali Bastian has opened up on the trauma that being identified with cancer has introduced her. The 44-year-old cleaning soap star was identified with stage two breast cancer after discovering a lump while breastfeeding her daughter.

“But I went, they had been variety, I told them how anxious being back there made me really feel. How a lot trauma it stirs up in me that can take days to unravel. But I went, we have now to go… have to go to the verify ups, that’s half of the deal.”

While Ali is best identified for showing in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks and ITV’s The Bill, she also competed in the seventh sequence of Strictly Come Dancing in 2009.

She was partnered with skilled dancer Brian Fortuna. They completed in third place general and later returned to win the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.
