Justin Turner needed to keep enjoying baseball.
Although all MLB groups declined to signal the previous Dodgers fan favourite to a minor league contract, Turner discovered a spot on the Toros de Tijuana in the Mexican League in 2026.

Earlier this week, the Toros de Tijuana turned champions with Turner as their designated hitter in the lineup. The Toros beat the Olmecas de Tabasco in six video games.
The 17-year MLB veteran reacted to the championship win in a post on X.
“I came to the @torosdetijuana because I knew there was more in the tank, but the goal was never to just play. It was always to win, to bring another championship to Tijuana!” Turner wrote.
“And the boys completed that! This was such a great group of guys, and not everybody who was a half of it received to maintain that trophy, but we couldn’t have executed it without them either. We will probably be bonded together perpetually in this championship!!
“From the second I drove across the border in TJ for the first time, I’ve liked every second. The followers, the food, the stadiums, and the baseball. This is certainly a summer time to keep in mind and I cant thank my household enough for always being down for a new journey!
“Vamos Toros! Vamos Campeons!”

At 41 years previous, Turner is a champion once again.
He beforehand gained his first and only World Series ring with the Dodgers in 2020, when he broke the franchise report for postseason home runs after hitting his twelfth in Game 4 against the Rays to cross Duke Snider.
Turner spent 9 seasons in LA from 2014-22, incomes two All-Star picks as a Dodger.
