Knicks star Tyler Kolek calls out Taylor Swift as…
Taylor Swift could need to shake this one off.
Knicks level guard Tyler Kolek called out the “Patient Zero” hitmaker as the “fakest” movie star fan for leaping on the orange and blue bandwagon during the workforce’s championship run this 12 months.
Kolek and teammate Deuce McBride have been tasked with answering a collection of questions during an NBA 2K TikTok livestream on Thursday when they have been requested, “Who is the fakest celebrity Knicks fan?”
“At the Knicks games, I would say it’s very performative,” Kolek said. “Because they just want to be seen at the game. They’re not necessarily fans.”
But he singled out the “Bad visible injury” singer as by far the most important offender.
“Maybe Taylor Swift? I don’t know if I’ve seen her at any other games,” Kolek said. “I guess she has a lot going on so she can’t come all the time. But it’s a little performative.”
McBride agreed but warned his teammate that “Swifties” wouldn’t like his reply.
“I’m going to get some hate from the Swifties,” Kolek acknowledged.

McBride praised the Knicks’ core group of movie star followers, like Ben Stiller and Tracy Morgan, but famous that most stars have been not often seen at video games outdoors of the championship collection at Madison Square Garden in June.

The “Cruel Summer” artist sat courtside with singing sisters Este and Alana Haim, with the trio cheering on the workforce as she wore an orange-and-blue T-shirt that read “Stevie Knicks.”

It wasn’t the “Cleveland!” singer’s first playoff recreation during the Knicks’ historic run.
She was caught rooting for the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside her Ohio-born husband during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, which drew the ire of Knicks followers.
The singer had also been noticed repping orange and blue long before this 12 months’s run.

Ahead of the NBA Finals, a Knicks fan web page shared throwback snaps on X in May of the Grammy winner repping the workforce since the mid-2010s.
One confirmed the hitmaker in a jersey and hat posing alongside comic Jimmy Fallon in 2015, while another captured her courtside with former Knicks stars Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony.
In a 2014 picture, Swift sported a purple Knicks T-shirt while taking in a recreation with her former bestie Karlie Kloss.
Kolek’s dig sparked a cut up response online, drawing settlement from some followers and backlash from Swifties.
“Yall mad this take is on point,” one fan wrote in the feedback of a TikTok clip of his remarks posted to NBA 2K’s account.
“Beyond accurate,” wrote another.
“Taylor been to more Knicks games than you Tyler,” another commented, defending Swift’s fandom.
