Agatha Christie fans must watch Netflixs upcoming | UK News


Netflix has taken to Instagram to trace at the forthcoming launch of a recent homicide thriller impressed by one of Agatha Christie’s celebrated works.

The streaming giant posted a clip that includes a typewriter alongside the phrase ‘eliminateer Queen’, accompanied by the message ‘Agatha Christie is coming to Netflix’.

Whilst the title of the difference wasn’t revealed in the footage, government producer Suzanne Mackie had beforehand confirmed it could be Seven Dials, drawing from The Seven Dials Mystery.

She disclosed in a assertion: “I am excited to be bringing The Seven Dials Mystery to life, and to be introducing a new generation of iconic Christie characters to the screen.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Chris Chibnall in creating this daring, authored, and formidable imaginative and prescient for the collection. Together with Chris Sussman and Agatha Christie Limited and, under the masterful direction of Chris Sweeney, we’re thrilled to embark on this artistic journey.”

“I couldn’t suppose of a more thrilling first project for Orchid Pictures, or a more excellent home for this story than Netflix.”

The Seven Dials Mystery was originally published in 1929 and has previously been adapted just once back in 1981.

The story unfolds in 1920s England where, during an extravagant countryside gathering, “a sensible joke seems to have gone horribly, murderously incorrect”.

An unexpected detective, Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, decides to investigate a sinister conspiracy that threatens to completely transform her existence. Mia McKenna-Bruce heads up the ensemble as Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent, alongside other major talents including Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman.

According to What’s On Netflix, additional cast members feature Call the Midwife’s Ella Bruccoleri and Rivals actor Guy Siner.

As of September 2025, Netflix’s Seven Dials remains in post-production following filming in Bristol during 2024.

Book enthusiasts have flocked to Google Reviews to express their opinions, with Aryan Vats noting: “Plot twist at the end made me make it 5 stars, throughout the entire story it was variety of slow pacing a little bit from my perspective, it took me three days to full.

“When I got hang of the story I didn’t stop and completed the whole novel in four or five days, love it.”
