U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran that “1000 missiles” are “locked, loaded and aimed” at them should they comply with through with alleged plots to assassinate him.
Trump issued the menace Friday night on Truth Social shortly after the president revealed that he was informed that Israel had obtained intelligence about an alleged renewed consideration to perform an assassination operation against him. The revelation was made in a bombshell report launched Thursday in The Wall Street Journal, in which sources acquainted with the matter claimed that Israel obtained evidence of a contemporary Iranian assassination plan on Trump’s life.
It also comes after Trump ordered a contemporary spherical of strikes on Iran in purported retaliation for Iranian assaults on business ships in the Strait of Hormuz earlier in the week.
“1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!” Trump wrote Friday night on Truth Social shortly before midnight.

Trump alluded to the new intelligence the day before the report was launched amid the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, this week.
“They want to take out the U.S. leader — me,” Trump said Wednesday. “I’m on every list. I saw this morning, I’m on every single one of their lists. And so far, I guess I’ve been a little bit lucky, but that maybe doesn’t last very long.”
Iran has been threatening to retaliate against Trump for his 2020 army order that led to the assassination of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps General Qasem Soleimani.
Mourners also gathered Thursday in varied cities across the Islamic Republic for the funeral of their late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 86, and his members of the family killed by the U.S. and Israel at the start of the struggle in late February.
