(GWN) – Air Canada’s unionized flight attendants has reached an settlement with the nation’s largest provider, the union said on Tuesday.
“The Strike has ended. We have a tentative agreement we will bring forward to you,” the Canadian Union of Public Employees said in a Facebook post.
The provider had earlier provided a 38% increase in complete compensation for flight attendants over 4 years, with a 25% raise in the first yr, which the union deemed inadequate.
Flight attendants had sought pay for duties such as boarding passengers, that are at the moment not remunerated. They are now paid for time when the aircraft is shifting.
