Savannah Guthrie has formally returned to the Today show.

The 54-year-old anchor has been absent from the morning broadcast for over two months. She stepped away unexpectedly to help the FBI and Tucson authorities in finding her 84-year-old mom, Nancy, who went lacking from her Arizona home on February 1.

After a thriller man who claimed he “saw Nancy 5 days ago” supplied chilling new proof, Savannah finally returned on April 6. During her first episode back, her co-star, Al Roker could not help but have a second as he said, “Well, I just like looking over here,” gesturing over to Craig Melvin and Savannath Guthrie.

Savannah was touched as she responded, “Aw, good morning sunshine.”

Before getting into his climate forecast, he said, “Good to see you my dear,” sending an air kiss her means.

Between the current Today show hosts, Savannah and Al have spent the most time together on the show. The weatherman at present holds the longest tenure, with his debut airing in January 1996. Savannah joined her co-star in June 2011.

Investigators are narrowing the leads by focusing on those associated to the masked suspect on Nancy’s Google Nest.

A few weeks after the incident, the FBI launched footage from Nancy’s Google Nest that exhibits a potential subject sporting darkish gloves as he walked up to her entrance door. Along with gloves, the subject was also sporting a zip-up hoodie, a pair of sweats, a backpack and a balaclava.

Despite discovering a visible of the potential subject, the authorities have yet to identify a suspect nor discover Nancy.

Savannah’s household is offering a reward of up to $1 million for the recovery of her mom.

The host’s return comes as the mysterious disappearance of an Air Force normal has a number of chilling similarities to the Nancy case.
