An EastEnders further has been cleared of all allegations relating to intercourse crimes after being arrested on the set of the BBC cleaning soap last 12 months. An unidentified man in his 50s was apprehended on claims of inappropriate assault after a lady was reportedly left “clearly very distressed”. Production was abruptly halted on May 7, 2025, when a lady complained that a fellow further had tried to kiss her without consent. As a consequence, security on the long-running cleaning soap opera, filmed at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, have been pressured to step in, main to a scuffle.

After being handed over to the police, the person was arrested for common assault and inappropriate assault against two alleged victims. The cameras resumed rolling after the incident, and now, over a 12 months since the incident occurred, police have said the person has been launched and that no additional motion shall be taken against him.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police told The Sun: “Hertfordshire Constabulary received a report of an incident in Eldon Avenue, Borehamwood, on Wednesday, 7 May 2025.

“A person in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of common assault and inappropriate assault in relation to two victims. Following initial enquiries, he was launched with no additional motion.”

At the time, an insider claimed that the incident was “dramatic”, adding: “Everyone was fairly shaken by it all.” The witness told the publication: “No one may fairly imagine what was occurring.”
