BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty, identified for her impeccable on-screen fashion, has shared a hilarious fashion fake pas. Speaking on Alan Carr’s Life’s A Beach podcast, she revealed that her husband had a relatively unflattering response to 1 of her current purchases.

“I decided I was going to buy some dungarees,” Naga mentioned. “I haven’t worn dungarees, probably since I was about six, and I thought ‘I’m regressing, so I’m going to embrace that’. So I bought two pairs of dungarees.”

“He went ‘Oh my gosh, you appear like Humpty Dumpty’. They went straight back within the bag and have been returned.”

She concluded that while she doesn’t mind being mistaken for a children’s TV character, looking like a cartoon character was a step too far, reports Lancs Live.

Naga, who has long been known for her sharp style on screen, has admitted to a couple of fashion faux pas.

On BBC2’s Room 101, she revealed to host Paul Merton that viewer feedback usually doesn’t sway her wardrobe choices, except once: “There’s just one time I’ve taken it on board and by no means worn an outfit again,” she confessed.

Naga recalled wearing a geometric print dress on breakfast TV that reportedly triggered migraines in viewers, leading her to retire the outfit.

She also mentioned another dress adorned with numerous eyes, which some viewers claimed was giving them nightmares: “Two people emailed in saying it was scaring them and giving the nightmares. So that one I’ve worn since however I have not worn it a lot.”
