CNNs blow to Trump – people dont know if | TV Shows

CNN launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill as one guest warned that people are anxious about their survival prospects.

United States Representative Jason Crow appeared alongside CNN’s Pamela Brown on The Situation Room, revealing that his constituents “can’t pay for their healthcare bills.” He characterized the divisive tax breaks and spending cuts package as “brutal.”

Trump‘s legislation barely passed through its final obstacle on Thursday when the Republican-controlled House of Representatives gave it the green light with a 218-214 vote.

Speaking on CNN, Crow voiced his opposition to the bill, warning that Medicaid reductions could result in approximately 12 million people losing their insurance coverage.

He confessed he had “desperately hoped” the legislation would fail to pass. The congressman continued, “I’ve been talking to my constituents. I’ve been reading their letters.

“The fear, the anxiety, I mean, there are literally people that I’m talking to that I represent, Pam, who don’t know if they’re going to survive, literally survive, this.”

Crow elaborated, “They can’t pay for their healthcare bills because they have disabled children. And the coverage for these disabled children, the care that they need to be able to work, to be able to survive, to be able to get basic care is going to go away.”

He went on to condemn the bill as “the most brutal thing I have ever seen in my time in public office.”

Crow vowed to prioritize helping those impacted by the legislation. “We’re going to fight it. I’m never going to stop so long as I’m breathing and here doing this work,” he added.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects Trump’s legislation will slash tax revenues by $4.5 trillion across a decade and pile $3.4 trillion onto America’s staggering $36.2 trillion debt burden.

Despite these financial worries, Republicans overwhelmingly backed the proposal.

House Speaker Mike Johnson championed the Republican position, declaring to Congress, “For everyday Americans, this means real, positive change that they can feel.”

Only two GOP members broke ranks during the voting. Democrats unanimously opposed the legislation.

House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries delivered an marathon eight-hour speech condemning the measure, declaring, “The focus of this bill, the justification for all of the cuts that will hurt everyday Americans, is to provide massive tax breaks for billionaires.”
