Country singer Spencer Hatcher has returned to social media to share a new assertion after his mom was killed in a home invasion.

The 27-yr-outdated shared a video of himself on Instagram after taking more than a month off social media following the household tragedy.

Spencer’s mom, Holly Hatcher, was stabbed to death at the age of 62 during a home invasion on August 3. Spencer’s dad, Michael Hatcher, was injured in the assault. Spencer’s return to social media comes after fellow nation star Joe Ely revealed his devastating health diagnosis.

In a new video shared on Instagram, Spencer thanked his followers for their assist during this tough time for his household.

“Spencer here,” he started. “I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the love and support that you all have shown me and my family over the last month.”

The singer continued, “In what has really been the worst time of our life, you all sent so many loving comments and messages and made posts and everything. We did our best to read them, but I just want you all to know how appreciative we are and I am of you all.”

Spencer then opened up about his mom, saying she was his “biggest supporter.”

“She loved the music, everything about it. She loved the music. She loved the shows,” Spencer said. “And after a lot of thought and prayer and speaking to my label about continuing, you know, I 100 percent made the decision that I want to continue making music and bringing smiles to people’s faces and being out on the stage and everything.

“But I’m doing it a lot because I do know that is what my mom would need me to do. She would need me to keep on, and I do know how a lot she liked it, and I do know how a lot y’all adore it.”

Spencer said he is refusing to quit music, adding, “I’m going to keep on. I’m going to go as exhausting as I presumably can, and I need you all to come along on this journey with me.

“As I get back into it, you know, I’m going to be posting a bunch more, but I just appreciate you all and all that you have done for me and will continue to do for me.”

The singer concluded, “I know that my mom was real excited about all the opportunities, and all the music, and I hope that you all are just as excited about it as she was. So, again, thank you all so much for everything. Thank you for your support in the future, and I hope that one day we can all be together where I can thank you personally. I love y’all. God bless.”

Spencer’s mom was killed after an intruder broke into the household home weilding a knife.

Her 65-yr-outdated husband sustained a number of accidents before killing the perpetrator after retieving a handgun from his vehicle and firing a single shot at the intruder.

Spencer’s dad then called 911. When authorities arrived, both Holly and the intruder had been pronounced useless on the scene.
