Joe Ely has been identified with Lewy physique dementia and Parkinson’s disease, with the beloved nation singer hoping to convey awareness to the ailments.

The news was shared on the 78-yr-outdated’s Facebook web page. “Together with his wife Sharon, Joe is sharing their journey—not to dwell in hardship, but to bring understanding, awareness, and hope through the healing power of music,” the assertion said.

Sharon said, “Our story is about how music continues to lift us up.” Joe’s diagnoses come after nation singer Nat Myers also shared a health update with followers.

Sharon continued in the assertion, “Revisiting Joe’s recordings and hearing them brought to life again has given him so much joy, and we want others to feel that same joy too.”

The Facebook post did have some good news, as Sharon revealed they’d lately discovered some of Joe’s outdated recordings and are planning to release them.

The assertion read, “Recently, while going through old files here in the mountains, Sharon uncovered a treasure: intimate recordings of Joe’s voice, guitar, and harmonica.

“With the help of Radar Initiative, based by Grammy Award-winning producer Lee Miles Buchanan, these recordings have been re-envisioned in a method Joe never thought attainable.”

Radar Initiative has been able to restore the original tapes and create orchestral arrangements around them. “When Joe first heard the orchestrated model of Raining in My Heart he lit up,” Sharon said.

She added, “It was like hearing the songs reborn, exactly as he had always imagined them.”

Joe recorded Raining in My Heart 10 years in the past as a tribute to Buddy Holly.

“When I listen to the songs I recorded awhile back in my studio about 10 years ago and then see how these songs are recently transformed with Lee’s expertise as a producer and musician by using the new tools we have today, I say to myself—’perfect,'” the singer shared.

Raining in My Heart would be the first of the re-found songs to be launched, adopted by One Day at a Time.
