Democrat Katie Porter Goes Full Psycho During

Remember Katie Porter? The former House member was once a standard subject of dialogue on RedState, as she confronted a selection of abuse scandals. Now, she’s operating for governor of California because you’ll be able to apparently pour scalding potatoes on your ex-husband’s head and still be viable in that state if you are a Democrat. 

To say Porter has anger points is an understatement, and those flashed again during a current interview with CBS in Sacramento. Facing gentle questions (which have been requested of every candidate) about her electability, Porter once again acted like a full and whole psycho, finally “calling” the sit-down. 

Things kicked off when Porter told the interviewer she does not need Trump voters. When pressed on what she meant by that, the previous congresswoman repeatedly contradicted herself. That’s when issues obtained tense.

PORTER: I really feel like this is unnecessarily argumentative. What is your query? 

REPORTER: The query is the same factor I requested everyone, that this is being called the empowering voters to stop Trump’s energy grab. Every other candidate has been requested this query. This just isn’t…

PORTER: And I said, I assist it. 

REPORTER: So the query is, what do you say to the 40% of voters who voted for Trump.

PORTER: Oh, I’m completely happy to say that. It’s the “do I need them to win” that I do not perceive. I’m completely happy to reply the query, ask the query as you might have it written, and I’ll reply it. 

REPORTER: And, we have also requested the other candidates, do you suppose you need any of those other 40 % of California voters to win, and you are saying no, you do not? 

PORTER: No, I’m saying that I’m going to attempt to win every vote I can, and what I’m saying to you is…(pauses)

REPORTER: Well, to those voters…

PORTER: I do not need to keep doing this. I’m going to call it. 

It’s at this level that the fake niceties end and Porter begins berating the reporter, presuming what she’s saying will not be aired. To her credit, the reporter does not let her rant without pushback. 

REPORTER: You’re not going to do the interview with us? 

PORTER: Nope, not like this, I’m not. Not with seven follow-ups to every query you ask. 

REPORTER: Every candidate has answered the whole lot on the listing. 

PORTER: I do not care. I do not care. I need to have a nice, constructive dialog in which you ask me about every issue on this listing, and if every query, you are gonna make up a follow-up query, we’re never going to get there…

REPORTER: Ms. Porter, I’m an investigative reporter…

PORTER: I’ve never had to do this before, ever. 

REPORTER: You’ve never had to have a dialog with a reporter?

PORTER: To end an interview.

REPORTER: Okay, but every other candidate has executed this. 

PORTER: What half of, I’m me, I’m operating for governor because I’m a chief. So I’m going to make..

REPORTER: So you are not going to reply questions from reporters? Okay, why do not we go through, I’ll continue to ask follow-up questions because that’s my job as a journalist, but I’ll go through and ask these, and if you don’t need to reply, you do not have to reply. 

PORTER: Ma’am, I do not need to have an sad expertise with you, and I do not need this all on digital camera.

Well, so a lot for not having “this all on camera.” Based on her statements, it appears as if Porter thought she may end the interview and bully the community into not releasing the footage. They did, though, and it is an terrible look for a particular person who’s already swamped with a historical past of anger-related scandals. Throughout the exchange, Porter talks herself in circles while the reporter truly tries to re-center her a number of occasions. It was such a softball query, too. All she had to say was that she respects every voter and won’t take a single vote for granted.
