Dhurandhar lands in legal bother: Family of late | Indian Movie News

The upcoming Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar has hit a legal roadblock just days before its release, as the household of late Major Mohit Sharma has approached the Delhi High Court searching for an instant keep on the movie. According to Bar and Bench, the petition, filed by the martyr’s household, accuses the makers of allegedly drawing from Major Sharma’s life and covert operations without searching for the household’s consent.

A pair of days back the controversy gained momentum on social media a day earlier, with customers speculating that Dhurandhar could be loosely based on Major Mohit Sharma. As per the plea, if any of his categorized operations are depicted, it might compromise national security and expose confidential particulars that had been integral to his service to the nation.

The household is also searching for a broader directive: to make it obligatory for filmmakers to secure authorisation from both the legal heirs of any real-life navy martyr and the Indian Army before releasing movies impressed by their lives.
