The President disembarked from an plane this afternoon and immediately introduced a ready U.S. Marine with a token. Fluctuating oil prices have been one of the first indicators of the effects of a war in the Middle East. According to PBS, a poll conducted over the weekend found that about 7 in 10 registered voters are “very” or “considerably” concerned that the war will cause oil and gasoline prices to rise.

Furthermore, the vast majority expect the U.S. action against Iran will last at least “months,” if not longer, despite Trump insisting that it is going to be over “very soon.”
